Generally single load cell is used per application.
- In many cases, multiple load cells are used per system.
- In any case, user has to choose double the required capacity of load cell for over load protection.
- In multiple type use, capacity selection will be based on – required capacity will be equal to Capacity = 2 X (Total load / No. of load cells)
While selecting load cell, you have to take care of the environmental conditions like –
- Temperature
- Moisture or Water logged area
- Corrosive atmosphere
- Explosive condition
Based on these conditions, an appropriate load cell type is to be selected.
For high temperature – select load cell with high temperature grade load cell with Teflon cable.
For moisture or Water Logged area – select load cell with hermetically sealing.
For Corrosive Area – Select Stainless Steel load cell.
For Explosive application – use ATEX Grade load cells.
For Digital Interface – Embedded system will be fitted to the sensor with RS485 serial transmission.
For Telemetry wireless type sensor – wireless telemetry type embedded sensor will be selected.
